Hi I am in love with Doodles!!!! We are looking forward to getting a new buddy for our family. We had a very sweet Bichon for 14 years and a Springer Spaniel Mix for 17 - We just lost our Sammy dog after 14 wonderful years. I miss him terribly. I love this breed and joined to learn as much about them before we get our. I love looking at all the adorable pictures. Thank you all for sharing them. Laura

Hello Laura Lambo is an F1 doodle, his dad is a purebred poodle and his mom a purebred golden retriever, his grandma was also there on the day we picked him up! so cute!....Thanks for admiring Lambo, i think he's pretty great too, he gets a lot of compliments on his coat, it very thick and requires a small amount of work..except for his monthly grooming :)..i wish you luck in your search for a doodle of your own, no matter what you choose you cant go wrong with a doodle!

Hi Laura, Gracie is a crossback F1b. Her mother is a standard goldendoodle (golden retriever x standard poodle) and her father is a purebred minature poodle. Her coat is very curly now as an adult and I get it professionaly groomed every six weeks to keep it the length I like (about an inch and a half ) if not it does start to matt and needs daily grooming. At the shorter length I can get away with combing her out everyother day, maybe three days. As a puppy her coat was more wavy/shaggy and did not matt but as she got older it got curlier. Hopefully this all makes sense and and gives you a little more info on my experience with the changes in Gracie's coat. I could post some puppy photos if you would like to see what she looked like. Let me know and good luck with your puppy hunting! Looking forward to see what you choose, they are all so adorable and as you have read very similar :)

Two Laura's, two Gracies..mine is Gracie and the other Laura's is a Gracie too...yikes this could get confusing! We have four kids too! We're a blended family 2+2 and the girls, the oldest are pretty well self-sufficient, so for me this was a good time to get a dog. I never did get a dog when my kids were younger - I was a single mom for ten years and I could barley keep up, so I thought it wouldn't be fair to get a dog. Then we joined families and the 4 kids kept us way to busy so a dog was not in the picture then either. Now, Jack's oldest daughter has been gone for over a year and my daughter was off to university last fall - she' home for summer. It seemed like a perfect time for a pup. I can't wait until you find your breeder and pup. Hope that you post the newbie pictures etc. (I am more exicited about doodle pups than I was 20 years ago when people around me were having babies...eeeps!) How old are your kids Laura?

Hi Laura, we have a couple things in common...same name :) and love doodles :) !
We have had Gracie for a year and a half now and I couldn't be happier. I love the non shedding and her funny disposition. She is very high energy and needs tons of exersize but is very content as long as she gets her daily walks. Obviously you know what comes with owning a dog after having Sammy and your Springer for so many precious years. I know you will love a Doodle!!!
