Boating with your doodle

This will be my first boating season with my new doodle. Can anyone offer boating advice?
For example:
We have a cabin cruiser and stay overnight during the weekends. Do you have any idea what kind of crate works well and folds down. Space is a luxury on the boat. So suggestions and sizes would be helpful.

Hunter was born on 1/13 and he's been home with us for 5 weeks now.
We just love him and are having so much fun!!!
