Oh and Karen, I also make sure if she gets antsy that we go for a walk, weather permitting of course.  She has tons of toys and we play a lot.  I have no life right now, but some day I

Hi Karen:  When Bella gets the zoomies, I put her out in my fenced in side yard and let her run it off.  When she use to attack me, I would give her something to turn her attention away from me.  A hard bone with peanut butter in it works.  I have torn shirts and etc, but she is now 7 mos. and that stopped around 4 months.  She still once in awhile grabs my hand, but never hurts me and I say teeth don't touch the hand.  I'm thinking cutting teeth might have been some of the problem.  Good luck with your baby.

You could post this in the main section for more visibility.

If your "stay" command was working then stick with it. Maybe BarkBusters doesn't have the right method for you and Riley.  There are an overwhelming amount of training books/styles out there.  A popular video training is Doggy Dan.  You just need to pick from different training and see what works for you and Riley and then be consistent.  Cesar Milan has some good tips too.

As for running on the leash, I would stick to walking for awhile then add in running but as soon as the jumping stops then go back to the walk.  Too much action means playtime!   With a past dog I had, when she got bitey & crazed I would set her on her mat (dog quilt) which was her space and give her a time out.  It takes a few tries but she got the point eventually.  I would give her treats on her mat is she stayed.  You can also stick a toy in his mouth when he gets bitey during play.

My mantra was patience, patience, patience.
