Fozzie and Ruby lounging on the sofa.

They love to look out the window, or bark at anyone they see. They are best buds!

How do they pluck the extra hair from a dogs ears?

I have been trying to brush and trim Fozzie. I found that the hair under his ears was getting so long and thick I couldn't keep up and he was starting to mat. I took him to the groomer for a good bath and to trim him up a bit. My big concern was all that hair under and "in" his ears, it can't be a good thing. I had read that some dogs needed to be "plucked" inside the ears. The groomer had to do it with Fozzie. Does it hurt them? Is it like plucking eyebrows on your face? Ouch! He didn't seem…See More

"Took Fozzie to the groomer, he is matting under his ears. So much Fozzie fuzz! I combed it all out, but there's got to be an easier haircut."

"Fozzie's Bath"

Now that he is wet, I can see how much weight he has! He is such a fuzzy Fozzie, I'm always guessing. I still don't know how to trim his face, cause he has so much hair under his ears, and the back of his head. It's getting too hard to maintain,…

Fozzie's little sister!

Well I must be a little crazy! I put a deposit on a red female! They will be 6 mos. apart, and Fozzie will have company. Might as well while I have this puppy thing down.

Wet whiskers!

How do you clean off all the gunk that gets stuck in a doodles whiskers. Fozzy is always drinking and panting, and chewing on everything he can find! I filled up his baby pool and made him stick his nose in the water diving for ice cubes and toys, and that worked for a while. A wet wash cloth just doesn't clean off his snoot enough. If I had a white dog I would really be in trouble!

Token and your Fozzie surely do have a strong resemblance. Both of your Doodles are really beautiful. After reading some of your posts and comments, I have to admit that I can certainly relate to the trials and opportunities that comes with having an older puppy and a youngster. My Token and Remme are also 6 months apart. There are many pros to having the two Doodles, and there certainly are negatives, but we (hubby and I) love them dearly. It's a new adventure each day - never a dull moment!!!

Ruby can be really playful and deal with Fozzie, or not. Some days she can't wait to be on the other side of the gate, and other days, she just goes back to the other room. Fozzie gets so excited to have company, it gets to be overwhelming I think. He gently puts his big fuzzy paw on her back, but it still makes me nervous. A week ago she weighed in at 10 lbs at 9 1/2 weeks. So he still has 50# on her. She almost fits in the second collar I got her, after we discovered how small an 8 week old was. Fozzy came home at 11 weeks, and weighed 15 lbs., so I guess they're similar. We missed out on Fozzie's tiny puppy stuff.
