Coat Changes

Posted on April 3, 2011 at 6:00pm 4 Comments

My Mia is 16 weeks old and has started loosing her puppy fluff; she has started to look a bit scruffy.  Her shedding pattern looks very funny with it all coming out at the front first.  I was wondering, has anyone else experienced a shedding pattern like this - I wasn't sure if it is normal.  The vet didn't seem concerned and she seems happy enough !!!  I have posted some photos on my page.

My Denver is 12 weeks old and tends to shed a lot.  I especially notice when I'm wearing black.

My first Doodle never shed at all so I'm hoping he loses his baby coat and a non sheding coat grows in.  We'll just have to wait and see.

Mia is adorable.  I have 2 doodles and neither has lost any fur.  Their coats are diffent since they are from different parents, and both are F1B.  Lucy doesn't shed AT ALL, and Ethel sheds these little tiny annoying hairs that I am hoping is just puppy hair and that it will stop.

Have you talked to the breeder to see if this is happening to any other pups from that litter?  Good luck to you!

Welcome!!! Mia is very very sweet!  Is she a standard or mini doodle?
