Tomorrow morning we will be off on a 2 week vacation. I know you all will understand the heart rending that occurs when you must leave your pup for more than a little while. Trixie stays with a friend who has other dogs to play with. She sleeps with them, gets spoiled, and is very well loved while we're gone, and still I obsess and worry about her the whole time...and THAT is loving a doodle! I will be able to check in on the site only infrequently while we're gone, and will miss you all…

We weren't friends already!?!?
She's smart as a whip. I can't figure out what we're doing wrong. She'll squat anywhere, whenever she wants. :-( But she's so much fun; making us laugh all the time. Recently we found that she had taken 4 of my husband's socks and hid them behind our shed, in the back of our yard. How she even got the socks out of the house is a mystery. That's just one example of her many antics. :-)
Thank you Debbie & Trixie! I've had lots of wonderful birthday wishes that kept me smiling all day and soft, fuzzy hugs from Picco!
Geeze, what a day you had! But yeah, best part is that mommy & daddy are back. My mommy says she has to go away for work for 2 weeks in October. I know my daddy takes good care of me but I miss her so much when she has to leave.
We miss you Miss Trixie! Hope everything is alright.
had several days, where there was lots of smoke in the air!!! the fires have sure been awful...very sad & scary ): we are in the middle of harvest...a couple days before we started, our neighbors field started on fire and got into our field...didn't get into our wheat...but, burned some of our CRP ground. our neighbors (where the fire started), horses were spooked...2 ran away from the fire & were safe, but one was sooo spooked, it ran into the fire...very sad ): we are sooo rural, that we operate with a volunteer fire department...between all the vol firefighters, people in town & other farmers with their tractors to disc a fire barrier, they were able to get the fire out...i think it burned a couple hundred acres ):
thank you for the welcome (: I will get some pics posted soon...my 4 kids are running me ragged right now...crazy how that never changes...even tho they are 24, 22, 21 & 19 and out of the house, they still like their mama to help them out...3 of them are all moving at the same time...yikes :0 your Trixie is sooo darn cute!!! luv all the pics with her different fascinator type hats (; saw the pic of your tv weather station, and was like, SNAP!!!...that's our weather girl (; we live about 1.5 hours from Spokane...when I head that direction, I go thru st. john, pine city, cheney & then Spokane (: my 22 year old daughter just graduated from ewu a couple Fridays ago & we are in the process of moving her to the tri-cities (where I grew up). will get some pics posted this weekend of my piper girl & lil lacie (:
Debbie, Thank you so much for always being there for me. And, also to all the rest of my good "friends" on this site. I did respond to you Debbie & Trixie re your Feb. 13th post with a brief update as to Memorial Service and Celebration of Life for my very, very special hubby which was held this past Sat., Feb. 15th, but I don't see it anywhere. The mass was incredible...I couldn't believe the number of people at the mass. Our church is a good size and it was absolutely packed. I did put a very lot of time and effort into the planning (not trying to be boastful here...but really tried to make it special for him. I was a nervous wreck, but have to say it went very well and many people commented that it was so beautiful. I had even posted a photo of the "In Loving Memory Remembrance/Celebration of Life" card that I and our son, Billy, put together. Since we both donated our bodies to the University of Buffalo's Anatomical Gift Program, we had no funeral director involved to obtain the usual "holy cards" they offer for a Christian funeral, so I wanted some sort of remembrance available for those who might want something like that. I don't find it here. I will try to post it in my own blog. Thanks again, Debbie. Sorry if it showed up on your page (or wherever). Guess, I've been away from this site for so long that I've forgotten how to use it. Although, I've always had some trouble navigating here. Hope all is well with you guys. Paddy is getting big...bigger than the owner of his mom & pop thought these pups would be. I think I'm feeding him too many rewards and he could use to lose a few pounds. Some family still in town and coming over later today so have to get my rear in gear. Then, at the end of week, it will be just Paddy & I. We did spend a lot of time alone both before and after my sweetheart's death.
thanks so much for the "welcome" :) It took me a while to get back on but I finally did and posted pics :)
