Hudson update

Posted on April 30, 2017 at 5:46pm 3 Comments

Hi all,

I can't believe how long it has been since I have been on this community.  Hudson will be 2 in July.  He is such a great dog and has a great disposition.  He loves playing out doors and especially loves the snow!

Last year he jumped in the pool to get his ball (something he loved when the winter cover was on) well with no cover he fell in the water.  That was it for swimming in the pool.  He wanted nothing to do with it.  We even put him on the steps, but…

Large Breed or Medium Breed

Hi,  We have a 7 month old golden doodle - Hudson who weighed 35 pounds 2 weeks ago.  We were told that he should be about 50-55 pounds as an adult.  I am currently feeding him Chicken Soup for the Soul for large breed puppies.  I am also feeding him Grandma Mae's Country Natural for puppies.  I mixed the two together.  Hudson seems to prefer Grandma Mae's dogfood over the Chicken Soup but I believe that it is do to the size of the kibble.  Chicken Soup is larger.  So my question - being…

We were interested in a dog that was non-hypoallergenic and did not shed.  My son (17 yrs old) wanted a dog that he could play with and take on hikes.  Thus Hudson.

Anita, his coloring is gorgeous. Lots of folks on this site do their own grooming. However, I take Eli to the groomer about every 2-3 months. Although I love the long hair look, Eli mats and knots easily with his tight poodle curls. We keep his coat pretty short, about 1-2 inches. Ask around for a groomer, I'm sure you'll find someone.
