You have quite a menagerie!  Love the turkey photo...did you feel like you were being stalked by him?  I would.  Kind of creepy that he watched you like that.  As for Jefe ... a face only a mother could love.  LOL.  He looks sweet.

Their noses are unbelievably soft and fuzzy and I rub noses with him all the time.  I am going to see if I can find the picture I took last year when a thunder and lightening storm was predicted.   Rather than leave the alpaca's in the barn, I wanted them close by in case they got frightened so I let them into the front section where I took the pictures of the "Race."   They can go under the house eve and lie down on the cement next to the front door.  Anyway, I heard a strange sound while watching TV and this is what was looking in the window at me.  That's my unused treadmill in the foreground and of course Jefe outside:

Yes there are!   The first one I ever saw (and come to think of it the last) was in the China Lake area in CA.   That is a horrible, hot, dusty place in the desert where Lockheed tested it's missile motors.   Anyway, this crazy bird was standing on the roof of a p/u truck and I asked a co-worker what it was.   He said proudly: "That's a Road Runner, Kathy."   And I said: "That's a real bird?"   And he said: "Well, it's certainly not a stuffed bird."   I think he missed my point.

O.K.  don't laugh.  There are real road runners?  Not just a cartoon.  I didn't know that.

Love the turkey...  we once had a  road-runner who loved the our sliding glass door...  The morning sun would reflect his own image and he would spread his wings and dance.

I found the turkey!   Here he is.   He would spend most of his time on the roof watching me if I was inside the house, and if I went outside, he would fly off the roof and display for me and talk to me:

Isn't that the truth!   And when animals know that you truly love and care for them, they love you back.   I am going to find the picture I have of Thumper.   He was a buck that fell in love with me about three years ago and would wait for me to get home from shopping.   I never hand-fed him and respected those antlers; they can kill you.   I used extreme caution at all times, but he insisted on following me around for over one year because he felt safe.  Or maybe I smell like a deer?   LOL...I don't know!   Wild animals like me for some reason; it's weird.   I had a Tom turkey that used to watch me all the time through a dormer window on the roof.
