I have no idea what Eli weighs now.  He was 40 pounds in early June and I know he's much bigger.  Jim keeps saying he won't get any larger but I have doubts. Everytime I turn around he seems larger.

Carly's a standard size doodle but she only weighs 43 lbs. Seems like most of the doodles I see around town and on this site are a lot bigger by this age. Most are even bigger at a younger age! I'm thinking of Eli, Beverly. We picked her out of her litter because we thought she'd be a little smaller -- we were thinking 50-55 lbs fully grown-- and it looks like that's about where she'll hit the mark. As far as cleanliness goes, she's been a big fan of running through the hose this summer. I waggle it around on a medium stream and she chases it around the yard like she's after the bunny on a dog track. She can also be very insistent on getting in the shower with my husband, so staying a little cleaner is a fringe benefit of her pursuit of fun.

Very cute! Carly is the same age as Harley and Max. She looks like a pretty big girl. And so pretty and clean. Something we have been having trouble with.

Oh Martha, she is really beautiful and I too love the way you have the tail.  I know what you mean about them playing keep away with a toy.  Pemon does it all the time.  He loves to tease us.  And when he does decide to give it up, he usually drops it out of our reach!  LOL  You gotta love em.

Carly spends half her day with a ball in her mouth! I probably toss that ball 100 times a day. Her absolute favorite game is for me to chase her when she's got the ball, then we juke and feint in a little stand off while she looks for an escape route. She practically laughs out loud at how fun that is to fool Mommy.
