Are you smiling Gizmo or laughing?  I think you are laughing.  Look at that beautiful Rose.  And you are such a handsome Dood Gizmo!

Great! So glad I thought of it.  Ben takes his doodle, Sam, there frequently.  He found them about a year ago through a recommendation from his vet.  Good Luck!

I love this site!    Beverly - thank YOU!   I will call them today.   Love the support I am getting here.

The kennel is in Essex.

If they can play all day, I doubt little Brandi will be crying all night.  Gizmo is usually so tired he just lays around for the next day.  When he was Brandi's age, he'd be so wiped out that he'd "rest" (meaning no naughtiness) for two days after.  LOL.  Maybe if she has to be kenneled at night, they will allow you to bring her blankie.  Yea, Beverly!  This is why I love this site ... we all help each other out!  Good Luck, Bea.  Let us know when you find something.

Comment by Beverly and Eli on July 4, 2013 at 8:29pm I'm pretty sure this is it.  He really trusts them and had to go to a pre boarding interview.  They have lots of exercise time and you can see the videos and check on your dog while you're gone.

Duh, my son boards his goldendoodle at a great place in Burlington where he lives!!  Let me find it and I'll get back to you!

Nice boarding place.   Thanks for the info and I wish I lived in Grand Rapids.   Now that I know 27/7/365 exist, I am going to do more homework.    Here I find playtime but no supervision at night.  I could only imagine Brandi crying all night.   Thanks Jo - I will be looking tomorrow.

Wow that looks great.  We have a good kennel but nothing like this.  Chessie never minds going but Jax always did.  We'll see about Eli.  They are very good about shots and instructions we leave them with.  The dogs are always healthy and clean when we pick them up.  They even have a really nice section for cats when we need to leave Bella.

Thanks, Berverly.  And, Yes, it so hard to leave them when you go away.  I suggest you visit the place (without Brandi) and ask for a tour.  Be sure you know what you will be charged; some places charge for every little thing they do.  Make sure you know all the rules and what you will be paying for before you agree.  They should also ask for your vet records, requiring all shots be up-to-date including the Bordetella (that's a protection from some varieties of Kennel Cough).

I wish you were closer to Grand Rapids.  I have a wonderful Daycare/Boarding Facility that I take Gizmo to.  He loves it there.  All the dogs run freely with each other - large & small.  The only kennel (or crate) the dogs if the owner requests it or if the dog is unruly or aggressive.  They have a large outdoor area to play in with a pool (they run the hose in it so the dogs get fresh water from it if they want to); it's like a doggie waterfall.  Someone is on site 24/7/365.  They have a "people" bedroom and the dogs get to sleep on the bed if they want or there are many doggie beds on the floors throughout the living area of the center.  The Wranglers (dog handlers) play with the dogs and love them.  If you want to see where I take Gizmo, visit the following website: .  Good luck finding a wonderful place for Brandi to stay.
