DonMarie & Picco, I'm glad I'm not the only one shocked at the big bark!! The first time made me jump!! Each time kind of shocks me but thank goodness it is rare. Is it the poodle in them? We also have our Pearl, a lab (our 3rd, 2 passed from old age) & none of them ever barked - ever!!
Thank you Beverly & Eli! Time flies & I'm not liking it!!! ;). I'm always trying to slow life (or at least our enjoyment of it) down but it just seems to go faster!

Oh my, that is huge and still growing! So much doodle to love!  I can imagine his bark. Picco is only 53 lbs and has the bark of a 100 lb dog.

Oh my gosh, I never thought we might have a Pemon! I've always thought of Pemon as huge - the gentle giant of them all!! LOL.
Harrison, you are so handsome! And big, too! I have friends that talk about how, when I was even smaller, they couldn't believe how good I was & that I was a puppy! I'm still so gentle like you! Lets keep in touch! H & S, Rex

So I will say that Rex rarely barks but when he does it is loud & massive! Well, when we took him to the vet, a lady was gushing over hiim. He was already nervous & when a German Shepard came out, he barked & barked. It was loud & she jumped & then was scared of him. I felt horrible for him because I realized he is so big & with his big bark, he can seem scary! It's hard to tell someone he is just a baby when he is that big. I realized he will have to be really well trained for our many outings, which we haven't done much of this winter. Here at the house & in our neighborhood he is great, though.

Rex, I to am 9  months old. I weigh 76 pounds the last time I was at the vet 3 weeks ago. I too am going to be a big boy. I love being a gentle giant. People are surprised how sweet I am based on my size. Happy Birthday.

Hugs and slobbers

Oh my goodness!!  82 already with a few months left to grow!!  He might get as big as Pemon the Gentle Giant! :)

Thank you ladies!!! He weighed in at 82 lbs 2 weeks ago, shortly before he turned 9 mths old. He is a big boy & thank goodness gentle but lately he has been stealing human food off the counter - he doesn't even have to get up!!! He won't enter a room without our permission but he steals food - yikes! I can't believe how big he is - completely unexpected & when he barks (not often) the sound is MASSIVE!!
